Worcester Wolves have announced their new managing director.

April White will be stepping into the role, replacing Mick Donovan who will become the chairman of the Wolves Board.

This follows Tim Jones stepping down from the University of Worcester.

Donovan said: "We have been very fortunate to benefit from Tim’s leadership as an important member of the Board in recent years and wish him well in the future".

On White's appointment, he said: "April has been a positive influence in all aspects of the franchise in terms of working with coaches, players, sponsors and partners for so many years and we are thrilled to be able to confirm that she will now be our managing director".

Former chairman, Mr Jones said: "I have really enjoyed my time as Chairman of the Wolves and have been particularly impressed by the dedication of the coaches, players and the loyal Wolves fans.

"I am sure that the club will continue to go from strength to strength".

The new managing director, Ms White, said: "It is a real honour to be offered this role at such an exciting time for the club and I look forward to building and creating positive opportunities for our athletes, students, community, and fans.

"I’ve worked with Mick and the Worcester Wolves Board for many years, and I’m excited to support them and the whole Wolves family as we drive the club forward together."

The Wolves are in action this Saturday, with the men playing away against Bristol Hurricanes, while the women face derby rivals Bromsgrove Bears at 7:30pm at the University of Worcester Arena.
