A VILLAGE home was on fire in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday).

A house fire broke out at a property in Sinton Green, near Hallow.

The blaze spread to the roof of the home.

Two firefighters put out the blaze and removed the house's roof tiles.

Western Power was also on the scene to isolate the live electric feed to the property.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two HWFR crews from Worcester Fire Station were called at 4.48am on April 16 to a house fire in Sinton Green, Hallow.

"This was a fire in a domestic property involving an external consumer unit.

"The fire had spread into the roof space.

"Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet fought the fire and removed roof tiles.

"Western Power was requested to isolate the live electric feed to the property.

"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.43am, but a reinspection will take place at 11am."
