A MAN was taken to hospital following a crash on the Ketch roundabout.

The man was helped from his car by paramedics and then taken to hospital.

A silver Toyota Hilux was involved in the incident, suffering heavy front-end damage in the crash.

The crash happened on Friday, April 12 at around 7.15pm at the Ketch roundabout in Worcester.

A section of the roundabout was closed to divert traffic straight onto the A4440 towards St Peters or left towards the A38 Bath Road before reopening after 8pm.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said a man in his 30s was helped from his vehicle by paramedics.

A spokesperson said: "Two Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Worcester Fire Station were called at 19:15 on 12 April to an RTC at the Ketch Island, Worcester.

"The incident involved one vehicle which was made safe by fire service personnel. One male casualty in his 30s was assisted from his vehicle by the ambulance service (log 2991), who attended along with police (log 388).

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 8.08pm."

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "At 6.55pm on Friday 12 April we were called to a single vehicle collision at the Ketch roundabout in Worcester. 

"One person was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious. 

"No arrests were made."
