A TALENTED teenager has been offered places at three prestigious ballet schools.

Purdey Hemmings, 16 and of Malvern Wells, was able to choose between London’s English National Ballet School, Tring Park Sixth Form in Hertfordshire and Elmhurst Ballet School Upper School.

After much deliberation Purdey accepted her offer from Elmhurst in Birmingham where she will board for the next three years until she graduates, hopefully into a ballet company.

Purdey has been an associate dancer with Elmhurst for the past four years and a senior associate with The Royal Ballet School for the last year.

She has been offered a place with the advanced associate programme in London.

Purdey has also had intensive training in several dance genres at Corraine Collins Dance Studios, Cheltenham.

She was noticed by a respected member of the ballet world when aged 12 and has since stayed dedicated and determined.

Purdey also has private coaching from an ex-professional dancer from The Royal Ballet company.
