THOSE who are old enough to remember the iconic Images Nightclub are being invited to relive the glory days for one night only.

An event dedicated to the former Worcester venue, featuring five hours of non-stop anthems from the 80s and 90s, is set to be held at Tramps Nightclub in June.

The old nightclub, in The Butts, was once a favourite nightspot for Worcester clubbers. The building was previously torn down to make way for student housing.

DJ Fran Sheridan is organising the event, which was originally supposed to be held before the Covid -19 pandemic hit.

He used to DJ at the club back in the day, and says the Images club night will be an "event to remember."

Mr Sheridan said: "Images Nightclub was renowned, yes for its sticky carpets and trainspotting toilets, but Images became the most iconic club in the Midlands, not only in Worcester".

Worcester News:

"It brought you drinks that had never hit the market, Blastaway, Hooch, Bacardi Breezers, Two Dogs and many more".

He said it was known for playing Britpop hits back in the 90s, with music from the likes of Oasis, Blur and Pulp.

He also said the biggest dance anthems were spun at the club before they hit the charts.

Mr Sheridan added: "This is going to be an event to remember, so don't just remember the old memories, make new ones at the biggest club revival this city has ever seen".

The event is set to be held on Saturday, June 15, starting from 10pm.
