QATAR Airways is to start a new service from Birmingham Airport next spring.
Flights to Doha will begin on March 30, adding to the airline's existing services from London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh.
There will be eight flights a week, including two flights on Saturdays, travelling to the airline's state-of-the-art hub Hamad International Airport.
The route will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner which has a two-cabin configuration, comprising 22 seats in business class and 232 economy class seats. All seats include individual television screens offering the latest inflight entertainment comprised up to 2,000 options and the airline's award-winning service.
The national airline of the State of Qatar was named the world's best carrier at the 2015 Skytrax Awards, marking the third time the airline has won this top accolade. The airline also won best business class airline seat and best airline in the Middle East
