THERE was a tight finish in Barnards Green’s home drawn clash against Himley in Birmingham and District League Division One.

Consistent batting from Alex Hepburn (70), Phil Harris (60), Kyle Giniotis (47) and Will Dovey (46 not out) contributed to a solid effort from Green who made 279-8.

However, Ben Smith (74) and Worcestershire’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore (63) weighed in for Himley, who replied with 270-7.

Bromsgrove’s slide towards the bottom of the table continued following a two-wicket defeat at Attock who chased down a total of 204.

Brockhampton’s Senuran Muthusamy scored 133 and grabbed four wickets in their 96-run win against Bridgnorth.

Chris Powell hit 67 for Brockhampton but Bridgnorth struggled to remain in the game after collapsing to 46-6.

Worcestershire’s Alexei Kervezee performed his usual heroics with the bat for Bromsgrove with 79 but received very little support before Rawait Khan (66) and Omar Masood (50) compiled half-centuries that took Attock move up into the top half of the table.

Worcestershire’s Tom Fell hit 46 but Wolverhampton suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Walsall in the Premier Division.
