YOUNG players from Rushwick will be competing tomorrow at the under 9s Worcestershire Cricket Board Ltd (WCBL) eight-a-side South and Central Worcestershire District Finals Day.
They shone in last weekend’s re-arranged South Worcestershire Group festival at Rushwick, winning all three matches comfortably.
Rushwick finished joint-top of the group with Barnards Green after achieving 54 points and nine wins. However, Rushwick qualified for the finals after achieving a better runs per wicket calculation than Green.
Lewis Tolley (captain), Sam Sheen, Eesa Riaz, Ethan Lavelle, Billy Bradshaw-King, Luke Lancaster, Samuel Hodson ,Jack Tolley and Mason Ruff were the triumphant Rushwick squad.
Rushwick’s squad for tomorrow will also include Lily Francis, Rylan Wall, Finlay Parker-Smith, while Jack Tolley is first reserve.
Rushwick have also qualified for the WCBL under 9s 8-a-side County Finals Day on Sunday, September 4.
