TWO trips to Evo-Stik Southern League Premier opposition have been added to Worcester City’s pre-season schedule.

City will travel to Stratford Town on Tuesday, July 12 (7.45pm) before taking on Leamington at the Phillips 66 Community Stadium on Saturday, July 30 (3pm).

Sandwiched between these two matches will be Worcester’s Worcestershire FA Senior Cup campaign which begins on Tuesday, July 19 against Redditch United at Stourport Swifts (7.45pm).

The final of the competition, which City won for the first time since 1997 last year, will take place at the Victoria Ground on Saturday, July 23 (3pm).

Stratford, who finished last season in 19th place, six points above the drop zone, appear to be the first opposition City will face this summer.

The two met in pre-season last summer, with Alex Gudger scoring in a 1-1 draw.

Leamington are likely to provide a sterner test for Worcester having narrowly missed out on a return to the Vanarama National League North this season, losing in the play-off final against Hungerford Town.

Former City players Richard Taundry and Connor Gudger could line-up for The Brakes.
