WORCESTER City ace Sean Geddes picked up the Huck Nets goal of the season gong at the Non-League Paper’s National Game Awards.

The attacking midfielder was rewarded for his rabona effort against Barrow in the FA Trophy last season at the event, which was held in partnership with the Non League Footballers’ Association.

The awards at Fulham’s Craven Cottage saw the 23-year-old honoured after he audaciously chipped Barrow keeper Aaran Taylor from just inside the penalty area.

The video went viral, racking up almost two million views online.

But Geddes could not collect his award in person due to being on holiday in Spain.

Meanwhile, released Worcester striker Michael Taylor has signed for Northern Premier League club Halesowen Town.

Taylor played eight games for City last season, scoring one goal at Hyde.

Joint Halesowen manager John Hill said: “Mike is a player we have tried to sign twice before. The timing has come just right for Mike and Halesowen Town.

“He is a player who likes to put himself about and who will fit in well at the Yeltz.”
