STUDENTS from a Peopleton school have raised £225.50 by wearing their jeans to school.
Pupils at Bowbrook House School Prep Department swapped an item for uniform for jeans or denim for the Jeans for Genes charity.
The whole school also held a cake sale at break time.
Chris Allen, headmaster, said: "The Bowbrook House School Prep Department took part in the nationwide charity event and managed to generously raise an excellent amount amongst 75 pupils, alongside support from the pupils in the senior school.
"The Jeans for Genes charity have expressed their gratitude for the pupils’ kind-hearted efforts.”
The event took place on Friday, September 23.
