A HOLIDAY for four caravaners ended dramatically when the car they were travelling in went up in flames in Kidderminster on Saturday, July 23.
Footage captured by reader Annette Smith shows the Peugeot car well alight on the A449, near Black Bridge, this afternoon.
Crews from Kidderminster Fire Station were called out just after 1pm.
None of the four adults in the vehicle were hurt during the incident but the car has been completely destroyed. The A449 was also closed for around an hour as firefighters dealt with the incident.
Watch Commander Len Rees said: "They were driving back from a holiday and towing a caravan when they noticed smoke coming from the engine.
"They pulled over and got out the car and fortunately, they unhooked the caravan and that ensured it wasn't damaged in the fire."
"Thankfully no-one was hurt in the fire but the car has been completely gutted."
He added the environmental protection unit from Stourport fire station also attended to help clean up the fuel that had spilled out into the road.
