WORCESTER may be miles from the coast, but thanks to a nearby garden centre families can enjoy a day at the beach without going very far.

A real, sandy beach will be put in place at Webbs Garden Centre in Wychbold for youngsters and their parents to enjoy from Saturday, July 2.

Made from 20 tonnes of children's play sand, the beach will host special entertainment sessions for young visitors every day during the summer.

Webbs will also welcome John Lawson's Circus from Tuesday, August 9 to Sunday, August 14.

The circus features entertainment from Bippo the Clown, double trapeze artists Aspire, Boris the giant dancing polar bear and hula hooper Miss Chelsea, amongst many others.

On Saturday, July 16, a fire and rescue service challenge will take place, where teams will compete for places in the national UK Rescue Organisation Challenge 2016.

There will also be children's rides and a barbecue available on the day too.

And on Sunday, August 28, the attraction will host its 21st Annual Motor Show where visitors can enjoy classic and vintage vehicles.
