Police have confirmed the death of a young man in his twenties at the same quarry where a teenager died last weekend.
A major search by emergency services was launched after reports of a young man going missing at Gullet Quarry near Malvern.
Police cordoned off the area while the search took place but then announced that a man's body had been recovered from the water.
In a tragic irony, a candlelit vigil to 17-year-old Russell O'Neill, from Ronkswood, who died while swimming at the quarry last Saturday, was due to take place at 9pm this evening but was cancelled when news of the search broke.
That tragedy has led to calls for the quarry to be drained or fenced off.
It is not yet clear where the dead man was from.
