A FAMILY-owned building company is expanding into Worcestershire with plans to develop its first site at Badsey, near Evesham.

Cameron Homes was established more than 20 years ago in Staffordshire and aims to develop three pieces of land in villages south of Stratford upon Avon as part of its growth programme.

As well as the Badsey site, where it has planning permission for 22 two, three and four-bedroom homes and 14 affordable properties, Cameron Homes intends to acquire a site in Lower Quinton, six miles south of Stratford, where plans have been submitted for 19 two, three and four bedroom houses and bungalows while a third new development will be in the village of Tredington, near Shipston on Stour, and will feature 29 properties, including affordable homes, subject to planning permission.

Ian Burns, managing director of Cameron Homes, said he was excited about working in this new location for the firm. He added: "From our origins in Staffordshire, we have steadily into other areas of the Midlands over the last two decades and now carry out work in several other counties. We are delighted to have received the go-ahead to build much-needed, high quality new homes in three very attractive locations south of Stratford-upon-Avon, a new region for Cameron and are looking forward to providing homes for local people and hopefully boosting the economy here by using some regional sub contractors and suppliers.”
